Eastbourne Pier and Huts Esterne
‘Eastbourne Pier and Huts Esterne.’
Panoramic format. Print size 124 x 30.5 cm approx. Signed print from a limited edition of 100. From original ink drawing to which I apply colour digitally. Printed on fine art paper using archival inks.
View of the iconic sunny Eastbourne beach. In view are the magnificent Eastbourne Pier, The white timber weatherboard beach huts and the Martello Tower. Eastbourne Pier opened in 1870 by Lord Edward Cavendish. Interestingly the pier is built on stilts that rest in cups on the sea bed. This allows the structure to move in rough weather.
This print belongs to a tonal collection that I have named ‘Esterne’. That means Eastern in Middle English
