Two cardinals sit within a natural wreath of holly in the Royal Pavilion Garden, framing a view of the majestic finials, minarets, ribbed onion domes and turrets.

Cardinals are native to North America, but in the eclectic spirit of the Royal Pavilion I have brought them into this imagined winter scene for delight and fun.

This print combines my love of nature with my training as an architect. The colour treatment gives the scene a distinctly Asian feel, creating the dream of a quiet winter afternoon in the garden.

Print details

Pigment print from original ink drawings. I draw the original linework by hand in ink, using brushes, markers and other traditional drawing tools. I then scan the drawings and develop the colour digitally before producing the final print using archival inks on fine-art paper.

Available in sizes A0, A1, A2, A3 and A4 as limited editions of 100. Each print is individually signed and numbered.
