Alej ez AOH Brochure Cover Artist for 2026
I am delighted and still a bit dazed, to share that I’ve been named the AOH Brochure Cover Artist for 2026.
The announcement was made on Monday 9th June, evening at the AOH 2025 Awards, held at the splendid 124 Brighton Hotel. It was a lovely do—full of familiar faces, generous chat, and a great atmosphere. A proper Brighton evening. Huge thanks to the organisers and to Kate Jenkins, this year’s cover artist, who kindly presented me with the award.
I was shortlisted alongside the brilliant Amy Dury and Ellie O’Neill, both artists whose work I admire—so I really wasn’t expecting to hear my name read out.
It’s a real honour. AOH has meant a great deal to me over the years—since settling in Brighton, it’s been a constant source of encouragement, community and creativity. To now be contributing the cover for the 2026 brochure feels pretty special.
Congratulations to all the other winners and nominees—especially Dion Salvador Lloyd (Artist of the Year), Mark Findlay (Photographer of the Year), Gallery Lock In BAP (Fringe Festival Award), and Little Picture Palace (Open House of the Year). The full list is well worth a look—Brighton never disappoints for talent.
Thanks again to the AOH team, the judges, and everyone who’s supported my work. I’m thrilled, grateful, and—yes—back in the studio already, working away on ideas.
