I profess myself one of those who consider intervals of recreation and amusement as desirable as everybody. – Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice
Dear {{First name}} {{Last name}},
And so I hope to bring you an interval or recreation with my short newsletter to you. Thank you for your attention, support and interest. As you might know I am an architect turned artist, and contemporary printmaking is my passion. I have been working on some colourful and vibrant designs that somehow reflect the celebration of mothers day. There is lots of additional info on my web too you can access in this link www.alejez.com and in the image links below. Enjoy!
Mother and Son Art Day at the Towner in Eastbourne
When I was young, in Seville, my mother often used to take us to museums to spend the day surrounded by works of art. It could be the Fine Arts Museum, where I loved Murillo’s saints and Zurbarán’s monks, or the modern art museum, where I learned from Spanish avant-garde artists like Chillida and Pérez Villalta. The Archaeological Museum was next to it, offering the chance to learn about Phoenician, Greek, and Roman Seville. With this print, I want to pay homage to my mum and all the mothers who ensure their children learn about art and the world from an early age
Relax and Recharge Brighton Beach Sauna
Every mother deserves a break from time to time. Why not at the beach sauna?. A cosy little sauna with blissful, steamy scents to melt into pure relaxation. Plus, the plunge pool and baths are perfect for a refreshing cool-off. Whether you’re with friends or just on your own, it’s the ideal spot to chill out.
Dozing and Sea Gazing at the Beach Hut by Hove Lawns Brighton
Last summer, my friend Sarah and her mother Helen invited me to spend time at their beach hut in Hove. The time was so perfect, I decided to make a record of it. Helen gently fell asleep, while Sarah gazed at the sea, looking like a classic Greek sculpture. In the hot days, beach huts in the city are a perfect spot to meet friends and family and perfect leisure.
Gertrude’s Garden in Bloom The Grange Rottingdean
The Tea Garden at the Grange in Rottingdean, filled with hollyhocks, Cape daisies, and framed by a flint wall. Behind it, the building with its knapped flint, red brick, and Georgian sash windows, and off in the distance, the Beacon Mill on the hill.
This is all for now!
When in Brighton why not arrange a studio visit? I am in the city centre. 18 Jew Street BN1 1UT
