Mawddach Residency 14th to 21st of June 2024
Thank you @jakespicerart and @scarlettrebecca for an unforgettable and brilliant time together in company of so many artist friends. The extraordinary @draw_brighton community. Friendship, art, swim, dance, food, life drawing and hikes (Cader Idris).
Among the photographs below you can see my display on the walls of my temporary studio some of my ink drawings I created that week so I could mentally start thinking about colour-ways. These monochrome ink drawings are the base drawings for some new prints that I will be presenting in the below listed events, fairs, galleries and shops through the summer. Colourful, meaningful, big and small lovely art places.
During that week I run a WALK AND DRAW event to explore the beautiful landscape with Wuon Gean Ho. I climbed iconic Cader Idris with the also iconic Jenni Mac. Among many artists, it was lovely to have long arty entertaining chats with Kate Boucher. One highlight was without doubt llistening to Rosy Carric recite some of his poems. We had Our Host Jake Spicer, founder of Draw Brighton, and Scarlet Rebecca invited up to 40 guests. It was an epic week of friendship, swim and art creation.
