Description

5 notecards under the theme of dragons. The word ‘Chinoiserez’ is formed with the word ‘Chinoiserie’ that relates to the European decorative style that in XVIII and XIX c. uses historic Asian elements and the end of my surname Martinez’. The Brighton Royal Pavilion is the finest chinoiserie interior in the UK and is full of depictions of dragons.

This series somehow shows how I work. The sepia card shows my initial sketches, followed by the larger black ink calligraphic drawings. The arsenic green happened as a result of a private commission. The red and blue looks at the work of Georges Remi’s unforgettable ‘Tintin’. The parallel long composition of dragons are my interpretation of Chen Rong famous work ‘Nine Dragons’. Also shown my calligraphic original ink drawings of the dragons.

A6 size, 10.5 x 14.85 cm, 4.1 x 5.8 inches white cards and envelopes 250 grams. Blank inside for your personal message.

Please note these cards show sections of my larger panoramas and larger prints that are available to purchase. These are signed limited edition prints on art paper using archival inks.
