Sussex Life Magazine Article – September 2026 issue
A feature in Sussex Life looking at my journey from architecture to becoming a full-time artist and printmaker in Brighton.
Born in southern Spain, I moved to the UK in 2000 to work in architecture before gradually developing my art practice alongside it. The article explores how Sussex, its landscape and changing light have influenced my work, from the coast and the South Downs to my series The Belt of Venus.
It also looks at my “magic box of projects” – hundreds of ideas, sketches and notes collected over the years – and the way my work has increasingly moved from architecture and landscape towards people and everyday life.
The article features Modern Bathers, my work with paper cut-outs, my studio practice and my life in Brighton.
